Stage 1.2 and 1.3 are currently under construction.
Parts of the former farming land and quarry, established in 1878, are now heritage-listed. Dairy buildings, a bacon factory, pot kilns and other historic features will be carefully incorporated to ensure that the area’s multifaceted story is well told.
Over 3 million cubic metres of material has already been placed and compacted into the quarry hole.
Stage 1.1 works now completed.
Large scale earthworks to safely fill the quarry continue to be undertaken by the Bayport Civil team.
